The
Quay Co-op Restaurant is renowned by diners in Cork and beyond for
the quality and variety of its menu and the ambience of its brightly
decorated dining rooms.
The restaurant itself is self-service and we can seat 85
customers in three rooms. We open at 9am Monday to Saturday,
serving breakfast until 12 noon. From 12 until 9pm we serve a full
menu - you can have anything from a three-course dinner to a cup of
coffee. Our menu changes daily but the basic structure remains the
same. We serve two fresh soups and two special dishes every day. We
also serve lasagne, a choice of pizzas, a choice of burgers and a
choice of tarts. All main courses are accompanied by a choice of
salads or two hot vegetables.
Great care effort and
creativity goes into making of the food in the Quay Coop. We use the
best of ingredients to cater for vegan vegetarian celiac and allergy
sensitive customers. We are constantly trying alternative
ingredients to balance taste with your healthy eating requirements.
We use Organic spelt flour in our
desserts and our savoury tarts. We rarely use refined sugars , we
substitute them with healthy alternatives such as fructose,
concentrated apple juice and rice syrup and still get tastiest
results .So you can enjoy your fair trade organic coffee and cake
with and leave your conscience at the door .
The bakery supplies us daily with
organic breads to suit everyone’s tastes (Spelt, soda, cornbread,
wholemeal gluten free cheese baps and seed pitas ) .
We use free range eggs in all
our foods , so our substantial tarts will satisfy the healthiest of
appetites . All of our salads are vegan and we would always have an
option such as our burgers soups or one of our specials to choose
from . We have a vegan chocolate cake( amongst an assortment of
others) that would satisfy anyone’s craving .
But if you feel indulgent we have some
naughtier options too .Enjoy……….
